FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does the initial consultation consist of?

The initial consultation, preferably in person gives us the opportunity to get to you know one another and discuss your fitness goals. It also gives me a chance to explain my training style and what I have to offer. You will complete a fitness readiness exam and a thorough health questionnaire. This will allow me to become aware of any limiting conditions and allow me to create a safe and effective routine. In some cases a doctor’s release is required to start an exercise program. By the end of the consultation, together we will determine what fitness program will be best for you and schedule your initial workout.

What will happen at my first personal training session?

The first time we meet, I will perform an initial health assessment. I will measure your body fat percentage. Also I will you’re your height, weight, and body circumference measurements.  Your first session will be a brief introduction to the BFIT training style.

How often should I use a trainer?

This is very dependent on the individual.  There are a few factors to consider, including budget, prior exercise experience and how quickly you want to achieve your goals. I have clients that want to gain a basic understanding of how to workout and only meet with me a few times. However, I also have some clients that have been training with me for years. It really depends on what you are looking for. 

How is an exclusive trainer different from a trainer at a Bally’s or 24 hour fitness?

Well I am an independent small business owner and I have no affiliation with any gym. I believe that you are able to accomplish any fitness goal in or outside a gym. I am prepared to create any workout for indoors or outdoors. I am also flexible to train clients at home throughout the Houston Metropolitan area. Clients will have the option of training outdoors or at a personal training studio that I am affiliate with. So forget about those overcrowded gyms and classes because you will be trained in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere that’s conducive to great workouts.

Having a trainer takes the guesswork out of exercise and diet and ensures that you will reach your goals safely and effectively in the shortest possible time. Constant monitoring and adjusting of your program, as well as providing supervision and motivation, leads to attaining your goals much more quickly.

Session/Bootcamp FAQ’s

How are bootcamp sessions handled?
Bootcamps run on a 4 week basis. When you sign up for a bootcamp you are allowed to attend any bootcamp session that is available during the 4 week session you are registered for the class.

Where is the bootcamp/training location?
Bootcamps  and outdoor training are conveniently located near the Downtown area. The exact location of the training will be given to you upon registering.

What do I need to bring?
I advise all clients to bring water, gloves, and a mat.

If the weather is bad, will the outdoor bootcamp be canceled?
Sessions are held throughout the year. In the case of inclement weather (rain, lightning, etc), you will receive an email or text within one hour prior to the session. Please use your best discretion.  If it is heavily raining, thundering, or if there is a severe storm on its way, outdoor bootcamps will most likely be canceled.  

What happens if I miss a day or a session is missed due to bad weather?
A makeup day will be implemented to make up any missed days due to bad weather cancellations.  We encourage you to attend all your sessions, so you will see results from your hard work. Unfortunately, you will not be able to make up any missed bootcamp classes. Personal training sessions or other private training must be cancelled according to contract policy.

Is there a refund policy?
No cash refunds are allowed.
